1920s Art Deco Rhinestone Cuff
Step back in time to sparkle and shine in this fashionable Art Deco inspired bracelet. This is a rhinestone piece that is sure to make a lasting impression!
- Time:1/2 hour
1Cut stretch cord into 2 two foot pieces and stretch pieces out a few times (this prevents the cord from stretching out too much after project is completed). Thread one piece through the needle and pull half way through so elastic is doubled. Clip the elastic ends in the binder clip (this is to stop the bars from falling off).
2Using the tape measure, determine what size bracelet you will need. Thread 20 rhinestone bars onto the cord through the top hole of the bar. Lay bracelet flat on work area and measure its length, adding or removing bars as needed.
3Before tying elastic, carefully snip off the needle and then remove the binder clip from the other end. Tie elastic cords together being careful not to pull cords too tightly. Tie cords again, this time pulling more for a tighter knot. (For extra secure knots, I often take two of the cord ends and tie them together several times. Then I take the other two ends and tie them together several times on the OTHER side of the knot.) Trim ends somewhat close to knot.
4Repeat as above, threading stretch cord through the bottom holes of the rhinestone bars. Again, tie cord ends together, trying to match the size/stretch of the first cord. Once ends are trimmed, dab both knots with glue and let dry.
