Abstract Papier Mâché Letters

Yes …... but is it art? Of course it is! Mixing multiple sizes of A.C. Moore's papier mâché letters, some splashes of paint and some post-modern inspiration, you don't need a critic to tell you it's a masterpiece.

Post pics to #ACMooreInspired -- trust us, your project doesn't have to be letter perfect to do so!

  • Level:beginner
  • Time:1 hour + drying time

Project Instructions

  • 1
Paint each letter in 4-5 coats of Snow (Titanium) White, let dry in-between coats. Tip: We want to achieve a completely matte white surface as our base.
  • 2
For abstract painting, follow the design as shown or create your own. We applied the colors from dark to light so the opacity from the lighter colors allowed the darker colors to show through.
  • 3
Finish using a liner brush and Lamp (Ebony) Black paint to create accent strokes and dots.
