Project Instructions

  • 1
Cut 3 lengths of beading wire that are approximately 25 inch each; you can make longer or shorter depending on how you want the necklace to sit on your neck.
  • 2
Cut a 4 inch length of Silver plated wire; straighten out as needed with nylon jaw pliers. Using round nose pliers, make a wrapped wire loop by bending the wire along the widest part of the pliers, creating a round loop. Hold the wires where they intersect with chain nose pliers and wrap the smaller wire tail around the longer wire tail close to where the wires cross, making sure the wraps are close together. Wrap 3 times and trim; use chain nose pliers to make sure that the cut end is pushed flush against the wrap. Repeat so you have two wire wraps with a tail. (Note: these wrapped loops are what the beaded threads will be crimped onto and after beads added, the tail of the wire wrap will be inserted through the bead cone, hiding the ends of the necklace!)
  • 3
Place crimp bead through each beading wire and run though wire loop and back through the crimp bead. Follow directions for using the One Step Crimper and crimp threads onto wire loop. Tug on the beading wire to make sure that a good crimp was made and that it will not come loose from the crimp.
  • 4
String one of the beading wires with only Metallic Silver Beads. When you get to within an inch or so from the end of the beading wire repeat Step 3 by attaching the other end of the beading wire to the second wire wrap.
  • 5
For the other two beading wires, string on a mixture of Metallic Silver seed beads and Turquoise chips. When stringing on chips, separate with a Metallic Silver seed bead. Crimp ends of the two beading wires as done with the first strung beading wire.
  • 6
Run the tail of the wire loop on each end of the necklace through the hole of a bead cone. One on end, create another wire wrapped loop with wire tail that is sticking through the bead cone, adding the toggle end of the clasp and making a tight wrap against the top of the bead cone.
  • 7
On the other end of the necklace, make another wire wrapped loop, adding the toggle clasp loop and again making a tight wrap against the top of the bead cone.
  • 8
Tie an overhand knot and adjust the strands with the knot centered on the necklace.
