1Use a gauge of 18 sts and 24 rows (about 4 inch) in Stocking st to knit a pillow that measures about 14 inch x 14 inch (excluding pompoms). Save time, check your gauge. If it takes you less stitches to match the gauge, try using a smaller size needle or hook; if it takes you more stitches, try a larger size needle or hook.

2Front and Back (make 2 pieces alike):
With Heather/Taupe, cast on 61 sts.
1st row: (RS). *K1. P1. Rep from * to last st. K1.
2nd row: *P1. K1. Rep from * to last st. P1.
3rd row: *P1. K1. Rep from * to last st. P1.
4th row: *K1. P1. Rep from * to last st. K1.
Rep last 4 rows for pat until work from beg measures 14 inch, ending with a WS row. Cast off in pat.
Sew 3 sides of Pillow tog. Insert pillow form. Sew rem side closed.
4Pompoms (make 24):
Wind True Red around cardboard approx 100 times. Remove from cardboard and tie tightly in center. Cut through each side of loops. Trim to a smooth round shape.
Sew pompoms securely to side edges of Pillow, having 1 pompom in each corner and 5 pompoms evenly spaced between corners.
