Project Instructions

  • 1
Project time does not include drying time for the glue.
Note: cord lengths can be adjusted for a smaller or larger bracelet.
  • 2
Cut 4 feet of elastic stretch cord. Tape both ends of the cord to prevent unraveling/fraying. Fold cord in half, forming a loop in the middle. Push the loop through the opening in the flat open rectangle side of the clasp. The loop should extend approximately 5/8 inch beyond the end of the clasp.
  • 3
Cut a 7-1/2 inch length of faux leather cord, trim one end to fit over the metallic cord inside the clasp opening from step 2. Glue the cords to secure them in the opening and allow to dry.
  • 4
Determine the desired bracelet length and trim the other end of the leather cord to fit into the opening on the hook side of the circle clasp and glue it in. Allow to dry.
  • 5
Cut a 7 inch length of studded cord. Place a dab of glue underneath one end and glue it onto the leather cord just below the rectangle side of the clasp. Allow to dry.
  • 6
Tape the loop and rectangle clasp to a work surface. Bring each side of the metallic cords up around and tie a square knot around both the leather and studded cords.
  • 7
Lift the studded cord up and out of the way. Tie the metallic cord into square knots around the length of the leather cord until just before you reach the clasp at the other end.
  • 8
Weave the studded cord under and over the square knots in the metallic cord. When you reach the clasp, trim the studded cord just before the clasp, and glue it to the leather cord with a dab of glue. Complete the last half square knot with the metallic cord to cover the end of the studded cord. Allow glue to dry.
  • 9
Flip the bracelet over and tie the two metallic elastic cords into a tight knot on the bottom side of the bracelet. Trim cord ends short and tuck them underneath the metallic cords. Glue to secure the knot and cord ends. Allow to dry.
