Cousin Red Rover Necklace
Combine cotton rope and suede cord for a versatile necklace!
- Time:1/2 hour
1Project time does not include drying time for the glue.
2Cut two 30 inch lengths of Red rope. Lay the cords next to each other and slide one cord tube on to both lengths of cord on each end.
3Approximately 3 inch up from the center of the Red cords on one side, weave the entire length of Black cord back and forth, around and between both sides of the Red cords weaving towards the middle of the necklace. When completed, slide the woven section so it is centered in the middle of the Red cords. Space the weaving out so it covers approximately 6 inch of the Red cords. Glue the ends of the Black suede chain rope to the Red rope on each side and cover the ends with the cord tubes. Slide the metal cord tubes down to cover the glued ends.
4Tie a knot after each cord tube. Put glue in the hole of the doll cord ends and insert the Red cord ends from each side into the holes. Allow to dry. Attach a jump ring to one doll cord end and a jump ring and lobster claw to the other one.
