  • Level:beginner
  • Time:1 hour

Project Instructions

  • 1
Cut 9 strips from the construction paper that are about 3 inch wide for the pretend candles. Decorate the construction paper as desired with markers. Roll the construction paper and tape them closed so they look like candles.
  • 2
Roll the construction paper around the barrel of a marker. Add glitter glue as desired.
  • 3
Cut construction paper for the menorah base. Make the base long enough to hold all nine pretend candles. (Tip: remember that the center candle is always longer than the other eight.)
  • 4
Decorate the base with designs such as dreidels, stars or other Chanukah symbols with markers and/or more construction paper cutouts.
  • 5
Tape the pretend candles between the two bases. Cut and roll two construction paper strips to attach as feet to both sides of the base.
  • 6
Cut, twist and attach Yellow tissue paper for pretend flames.
