The Crayola Gift for a Golfer's Desk makes a great gift for the athlete in your life, or perhaps make it for Dad, Grandpa or a favorite uncle! Receiving this picture frame and pencil holder will be as satisfying as scoring a few birdies and eagles!
- Time:1 hour
1Model Magic dries to the touch overnight and dries completely in 2-3 days. Project time does not include this drying time nor the drying time for the paint.
2With White clay, form a large flat circle into a golf ball-shaped picture frame. Cut out the center of the ball to make room for a photograph. Use the tip of a Crayola Paint Brush to push indentations into the golf ball. Let dry before proceeding.
3Cover and protect your work space with recycled newspaper. Cut a cardboard paper towel tube in half for a golf bag pencil holder. Paint it in your choice of colors. Paint piece of cardboard Green to resemble grass. Dry. Paint a second coat to ensure complete coverage and intense colors. Let dry.
4Cut an approximately 8 inch piece from the wood dowel.
5Cut out a small flag (about 1 inch at its longest point) from the cardstock and paint it (or color it with marker) Red. When flag is dry, attach it to the dowel.
6Use markers to sketch pockets on the golf bag pencil holder.
7Attach the picture frame and pencil holder to the grassy base with glue. Trim the photo, if needed, so it fits inside the frame. Use your imagination to personalize your gift with phrases such as World's Greatest Golfer or the recipient's name.
