Dalmatian Costume

Project Instructions

    To Make the Ears:
    Step A: Download and print the template. Use it to cut out two ears from White felt, and set aside.
    Step B: Fold a White chenille stem around the headband and twist together to the end. Cut the twisted end to measure 3-1/2"”, and repeat on the other side of the headband.
    Step C: Glue the tops of each ear around the twisted chenille stems on the headband. Glue the inside edge of each ear to the headband itself.
    Step D: Cut irregularly shaped Black felt spots and glue to the ears.

    To Make the Body:
    Step A: Cut irregularly shaped spots from the Black felt.
    Step B: Glue spots to the front and back of the t-shirt.

    To Make the Tail:
    Step A: Cut two 2-½"” x 12”" pieces of White felt. Hold both pieces together and cut one short end into a point. Glue both pieces together around the edge, leaving the top open. Let the glue set, then stuff with Poly-fil.
    Step B: Glue the open ends to the bottom back of the shirt.
    Step C: Cut more irregularly shaped Black felt spots and glue to the tail.
