- Time:1 hour
Project time does not include drying time for neither the dye nor the spray paint.
Use the foam cutter to trim the Styrofoam sheets to 9 inch x 3 inch. Use the small saw to trim the wood dowels to 10 inch.
Using hot glue on low setting, glue the Styrofoam sheets together so they align flushed at the back of the foam brick and the front is stair-stepped. Spray the Styrofoam sheets and wood letters that spell out PARTY with Yellow. Let all paint dry.
Wrap the edges of the foam base with the patterned ribbon. Glue the ribbon in place using hot glue on low temperature.
Paint the paper mache cones with Super Silver. Spray the Styrofoam balls with Robin Egg Blue. Let all paint dry.
Glue the Styrofoam ball to the cone using low temp setting on the glue gun. Lightly tint the ruffled chiffon ribbon with Mango. Allow the ribbon to dry. Hot glue the ribbon where the Styrofoam ball meets the cone using the low temp setting on the glue gun.
Attach a pearl bead to the top of the ice cream cone using a pearl-headed corsage pin. This is the cherry on top of the ice cream cone.8Press letters into the front step of the foam sheets. Place the letters so they are at random angles. Wrap the Slver tinsel chenille stems around your finger a few times to give them a spring-like shape. Push the spring shaped chenille stems into the foam behind the letters to accent the word PARTY.9Push the three finished ice cream cones into the top brick of Styrofoam. Evenly space them across the Styrofoam brick, side-by-side. Hot glue the cones in place using the low setting on the glue gun.10Wrap the ruffled ribbon back and forth on the flat top of the base and hot glue in place.
