Project Instructions

  • 1
Project time does not include drying time for neither the paint nor the glue.
Download and print project template before starting.
  • 2
Using the foam brush, paint the wood plaque Licorice and let dry completely.
  • 3
Center template on wood plaque and tape in place.
  • 4
Use a small hammer to tap the nails into the wood the paper template, evenly spaced around the border of the ampersand symbol.
  • 5
Remove the template and any leftover scraps of paper and double stick tape that may still be stuck around the nails.
  • 6
Add nails to create an evenly spaced border around the perimeter of the wood plaque.
  • 7
Tie one end of the White floss to a nail with an overhand knot. Randomly weave the White floss between the outside nails on the ampersand and the nails on the wood plaque perimeter. Wrap randomly, but with even coverage until the entire skein is used. Tie off the end with an overhand knot and secure with a dot of glue.
  • 8
Repeat step 7 with the Metallic Silver floss, using the entire skein. Tie off the end with an overhand knot and secure with a dot of glue.
