  • Time:3 hours

Project Instructions

  • 1
Project time does not include drying time for the glue.
  • 2
On a piece of paper, print an image of the Eiffel Tower (or other object) to use as a template. (Keep in mind, though, that the image must be smaller than the cork board.)
  • 3
Use double stick tape to hold the template in place on the cork board.
  • 4
Using the hammer, tap the linoleum nails into the cork board, placing nails along the outside border of each letter. Space them an even distance apart to create a uniform outlined edge. Hold the nails in place with needle nose pliers or a pair of tweezers while hammering, to protect your fingers.
  • 5
When all of the nails have been placed, carefully remove the template. Use needle nose pliers or tweezers to remove any small pieces of paper or tape that remain between the nails.
  • 6
Leaving the floss in the wrapper, pull the tail of the Black floss to begin. Tie the floss to any nail on the cork board nd begin wrapping the thread in a zigzag pattern.
  • 7
When you finish a section of nails, tie the floss in an overhand knot around the last nail and add a drop of glue to secure and prevent unraveling.
  • 8
Continue steps 6 and 7 until all nails have had floss wrapped around them.
