DMC Tassel Christmas Tree Wreath
Embroidery floss can be used for so many things, such as the tassels to embellish wreaths!
- Time:1/2 hour
1Slide the floss wrapper down just below the half way mark do not remove.
2Cut 2 pieces of memory thread, each 12 inch long.
3Tie one piece of memory thread around the center of the floss. Tie memory thread tails in a double knot.
4Create a hanging loop by adding a slip knot approximately 1 inch above to form a memory thread loop. Trim excess.
5Slide the wrapper off of the floss. Fold the floss in half, leaving the memory thread hanging loop at the top.6Leaving a 3 inch tail of memory thread, being wrapping tightly around the folded skein twice, add a jingle bell to the memory thread, then continue wrapping one more time. Tie memory thread ends in a double knot.
7Trim the ends tight or coil around a needle to create a spiral.
8Trim the tassel to the desired length.
9Use a dab of clear nail polish on all memory thread ends to avoid fraying.10Repeat steps 1 through 10 until you have the number of tassels desired in the colors you want. Add tassels to wreath.11If desired, make a bow from the ribbon and add it to wreath, using cloth wire to secure.
