Elmer's Best Buddy Ball
Since it's made with construction paper and glue, this ball isn't the kind that'll bounce or be used for basketball or soccer -- but it will help your kids score points in creative gift giving among their friends!

1Draw a circle with a 2-1/2" diameter on a piece of cardboard. (Tip: This is also the diameter of most soda cans.) Inside the circle, draw an equilateral triangle that has all three points touching the circle. This your template. Use several different colors of construction paper to make 20 circles from the template and cut them out. Fold the construction paper along the triangle lines for each of the circles.
2Write a word that describes your friend on each circle. Then, glue the folds of five circles together so that the inner triangles point toward the center to make your ball's top. Do the same with another five triangles for the ball's bottom. Glue the remaining ten circles together in a row and then around the top and bottom portions of the ball.
