- Time:few hours + dry time
1White Cupcake: Draw a 9" x 12" rectangle on foam board. Starting at the top left of the rectangle, draw a half circle over the non-rectangle side of the foam board, with the half-circle's other end being the top right of the rectangle. Cut out. (Tip: Score lightly first and then press more firmly to cut deeper, with several passes of the knife. Replace blade often.) Empty two containers of textured paint onto the top part of the cupcake and swirl with a spatula. Let dry. Trim Orange paper to 9-3/4" x 25-1/2". Starting on one short end, make 1" wide accordion folds in Orange paper. Glue the right and left ends of the liner to the outside edge of cupcake.
2Yellow Cupcake: Follow the steps as above, but add a few drops of Yellow acrylic paint to change the icing color before spreading and use Brown paper for the liner. Add seed beads while the Yellow paint is still wet for sprinkles. Spray paint one of the halves of a plastic ball ornament Holiday Red for the cherry. Let dry, then glue to top of cupcake.
3To Hang Your Cupcakes: Overlap ends of a 6" length of ribbon and glue to mark on back of cupcake. Hang from wall with hooks or similar accessories.
