Elmer's Decoupaged Table, Lamp & Journal
We know you've heard of painting furniture and other home décor items to give them a look that matches your taste -- but try adding cardstock and jewelry findings to make them even more unique. With all the kinds of paint and types of cardstock out there, you'll give new meaning to the term personal touch!
Tip: Search garage sales and flea markets for the unfinished wood table and Gold/Brown lamp and White shade. Find the spray stain at a home improvement store. Look for a table that has a minimal amount of knots in the wood and a lamp that isn't too banged up.
Take some pics of your finished project, then share on social media using #ACMooreInspired.

1Table: Cut desired shapes from cardstock. Layout all cardstock pieces (and stickers, if you are adding those) on the table and mark their position with a pencil, then glue them down. (Craftwise, there's practically nothing worse than gluing something down in the wrong place.) Add the spray wood stain in desired color and let dry. Apply gel stain to the edges of the cardstock by using a flat brush to rub against the edges. Mix three parts Glue-All with one part water and use a sponge brush to spread this mixture all over the cardstock. Smooth out any air bubbles with your finger. Let dry thoroughly (preferably overnight), then spray table with sealer.
2Lamp: Spray the lamp shade with the wood stain. Create a spattered look with Antique Gold spray paint by partially depressing the can's nozzle. Let paints dry. String several Gold chains together, then into the hole in the tag. Cut pieces of cardstock to fit tag and glue on. Apply the gel stain as you did with the table and let dry. Apply sealer when dry. Use the chain and one of the wires inside the lamp to attach the tag to the shade.
3Journal: Follow the steps for the lamp, stopping before you add the chain and tag. When all the stain and paint has dried, use distressed ink to shade the insides of the journal and let that dry too. Cut pieces of cardstock to fit journal and glue on. (Remember to lay the cardstock pieces out before gluing.) Tie ribbons through the wire spiral binding for some extra embellishment.
