Elmer's Fireplace Santa
This Christmas, all you need is foam board and some basic craft supplies for the kids to catch Santa in the act, just as he comes down the chimney.
Create your own, snap a picture, and share using #ACMooreInspired.
- Level:adult + child together
- Time:several hours
1Use the glue to adhere the four pieces of Primary Red cardstock to one piece of White foam board. (Make sure no White peeks through.) Trim excess Primary Red cardstock that hangs over the foam board's side.
2Download and print project template, then use a copier to enlarge all patterns 200%. Trace upper body/hat and nose on Primary Red foam board. The beard/head, two cuffs, two eyebrows, a mustache, hat brim and hat pom should be traced on the second piece of White foam board. Trace the holly leaves and mitten on the Green Bean cardstock. Flip the mitten pattern over and trace again. Trace face pattern on the Peach Fuzz cardstock. Cut all patterns out.
3Glue beard/head and mittens to Primary Red foam board. Attach, in order, face, hat brim, mustache, eyebrows, nose and wiggle eyes. Glue on hat and hat pom on its' tip. Fold the holly leaves in halves and/or quarters, if you like, to give them some texture. Unfold before gluing to hat.
4Use Command Strips to hang Santa upside down by the fireplace.
