Elmer's My Chore Chart
Your child's everyday tasks like feeding the dog, washing dishes and so on won't seem like so much of a um, well, chore, when you create this chart that shows their progress!
Make one, take a picture of it, then share on social media using #ACMooreInspired.
- Time:a few hours
1Cut a 3" x 17" piece of Black fun foam, a 3" x 3-1/2" piece of Green fun foam, 1-1/2" x 5" pieces in Blue, Orange, Lavender, Yellow, Lime Green and Red (number needed is determined by the number of chores) and seven 1" squares in Green. Glue Black strip to top center of chart and attach foam letter stickers to spell "MY CHORE CHART!". Trim photo to fit on 3-1/2" piece of Green fun foam, then glue to chart below Black strip.
2Print the first letter of each day of the week on a 1" Green squares and glue under title strip. Print chores on Blue, Orange, Lavender, Yellow, Lime Green and Red strips. Place chore strips (either before or after you've written the chore on them) down left side of chart, using adhesive-backed Velcro dots. Lay everything out until you are satisfied with spacing before gluing down. If needed, trim foam board of excess foam board at bottom.
3Overlap ends of a 6" length of ribbon and glue to top left back of board. Repeat for the right side. Let dry before hanging.
4Glue Velcro dots to back of buttons -- then use the buttons to keep track of your child's progress performing their chores.
