Elmer's Paper Maché Turkey
Heres one thing most everyone can agree on about Thanksgiving: turkey! Set aside a few days to make a paper maché turkey with one of a kind, wacky features!
•Place the blown-up balloon tied end down in a small bowl. The bowl will hold the balloon steady while you work.
•After dipping each strip of newspaper into the glue mixture, run it between two of your fingers to remove the excess mixture.

- Level:ages 8 + up
- Time:hour a day/3 days
Step A: Cover a flat surface with newspaper.
Step B: Mix about ¼ cup of glue and a small amount of water in a medium-sized bowl, tear newspaper into small strips, and blow up a round balloon.
Step C: Dip the strips into the glue mixture, and cover the balloon entirely. Smooth out any bumps or bubbles with your fingers.
Step D: Allow balloon to dry overnight.
Step A: Create a new batch of the glue and water mixture.
Step B: Tear colored tissue paper into small strips.
Step C: Use a paintbrush or sponge to paint the glue mixture over the tissue paper, causing it to stick to the balloon, and cover entirely.
Step D: Allow the balloon to dry overnight.
Decorate the balloon as you'd like by adding wiggle eyes, feathers made from different colors of construction paper, chenille stems for feet, it's up to you!
