Extreme Pom Pom Felt Hat

You don’'t need a board or snow to feel the rush of this extreme DIY pom pom hat. Perfect for hitting the slopes or just pretending to shred!

Project Instructions

    Measure around the child’s head and then add ½". Cut a piece of Royal Blue felt 15" high by the circumference of the child’s head plus ½".

    Overlap the 15" ends and use the fabric glue to glue them together. Let the glue set.

    Fold up one edge twice for the cuff. Cut the opposite end into 2-1/2" strips using the pinking shears.

    Gather the cut strips end and secure them with a rubber band. Wrap a piece of Bright Yellow and a piece of Bright Green yarn over the rubber band and tie a knot.

    Follow the package instructions to make a pom pom using both colors of yarn and the sewing scissors. When it’s done, tie the pom pom to the yarn covering up the rubber band.
