Project Instructions
-
1Download and print project template.
-
2Do not prewash fabrics. Spray each fat quarter with heavy spray starch following manufacturerÂ’s instructions and press before cutting.
-
3Cut tulle until you have 110, 3 inch x 8 inch strips.
-
4See Dia. A of template for a guide in cutting the fat quarters down to size. Cut each of the five fat quarters you chose into 22 strips that are 2 inch x 7-1/2 inch strips each for a total of 110 strips.
-
5Arrange the fat quarter strips as follows, seven in each outside segment, and five in each inside segment of the wreath frame (Dia. B of template). Alternate fabric and tulle strips (Dia. C of template).
-
6For each strip, fold in half wrong sides together and wrap around your index finger to form a loop (Dia. D of template). Place the loop part of each strip over the outside of the bar. Push the two tails of the fabric under the bar and through the fabric loop, and pull the tails tight to the outside of the frame (Dia. E of template). Separate the tail ends to fluff the wreath. Continue to add fabric and tulle strips to fill the wreath frame.
-
7Tie the satin ribbon to the inner wire at the bottom of the wreath and make a bow. Adhere it to bottom of wreath. Trim excess ribbon if needed.
