- Time:3 hours + dry time
Paint the tavern sign Leaf Green with and let dry. It will be the base. Paint your letters Soft Black, and then apply crackle medium to the letters according to the package instructions. Paint Mississippi Mud over the crackle and let dry.
Paint Leaf Green leaves randomly on all of the letters. Paint Snow (Titanium) White flowers shaded with Slate Grey on letters A and Y, and then dot the inside edges of the flowers with Shiny Black dimensional fabric paint. When they're dry, glue all of your letters to the center of base.
Use the Foam Cutter to cut Styrofoam steps for the letters F and R. Each step should be about ½" high and as wide as the letter. There should be 3 or 4 steps per letter. Glue the steps to their letter, and then glue a block of Styrofoam to the backs of F and Y for support.
Paint one large and two small circles Bright Yellow for windows on the letters F, I, and R. Paint Soft Black window sections and frame as shown. Construct doors and use a craft knife to split the jumbo craft sticks. Paint the large door Santa Red and smaller door Yellow Green. Draw hinges and knobs using the Shiny Black dimensional fabric paint. When completely dry, glue the Santa Red door at the top of the steps to the letter F, and then glue the Yellow Green door at the top of the steps to the letter R. Glue the large window above the Santa Red door and the small windows on the letters I and R. Glue moss to front and back of the base and the steps, as well as to the tops of the letters and windows.
Cut small pieces of craft sticks to fit on steps; paint them Soft Black and glue them to the steps. Create a pathway with pebbles to connect both sets of steps and glue in place. Arrange a fence around letters. Use wire cutters to cut fence, and then glue it into place.
Arrange and glue succulents and lotuses on the front and back of the base. Glue trellis and tubs to the base, as well as the birdhouse to the letter R. Then, use the wire cutters to remove shanks from the buttons and glue fairies, gnomes, and bugs to the base and to the letters as shown.
Cut a 7" piece of floral wire and bend one end in a U shape approximately ¾" down from end. Curl the end around and hook it on the lantern. Squeeze the end closed to hold the lantern and glue it to the letter F next to the door. Lastly, brush Iridescent glitter glue on the windows, the rocks and the moss on your letters.
