Fall Pumpkin Centerpiece

When it comes to decorating for the fall, we just don'’t think a tablescape is complete unless there'’s at least one stand-out pumpkin. So we’'re spicing up traditional fall décor with this rather welcoming pumpkin centerpiece. You can keep the fall theme going by adding the Burlap Table Runner and Metal Decorated Pumpkin.

Some decorated pumpkins are too pretty to be carved into! Post a pic of yours: #ACMooreInspired

Project Instructions

  • 1
Cut one of your 12”" x 12”" pieces of cardstock into an 8-½"” x 11”" piece and print the word FALL on it. Cut out each of the letters and glue to the jute twine. Set it aside for now.
  • 2
Tape a piece of tracing paper onto the side of the pumpkin, and then trace its contours; you should end up with roughly 11 sections. Use the tracing paper on your printed paper to cut out each of pumpkin’s sections and number them.
  • 3
Cut small slits down each side of the paper (top to bottom) to help it conform to the pumpkin shape. Use Mod Podge to glue each strip, one at a time, onto the pumpkin; each will overlap as you continue around the back. The Mod Podge should be applied to the back of the paper and to the pumpkin. A top coat can be applied as well. Cut a 3”" circle from your printed cardstock and apply Mod Podge to it, and glue the circle to the bottom of the pumpkin.
  • 4
Use metal brads (on each side) to attach the “FALL” banner across the front of the pumpkin. These brads will need to be glued into the pumpkin after making the hole. Do not insert the brad completely. Wrap the jute around each brad and then push them into the pumpkin. The banner should drape across the front of the pumpkin.
  • 5
Cut leaves, pod, queen lace and other fall items off of the bushes. The stem needs to be 3”" or less. Hot glue the leaves around the pumpkin stem. Then hot glue the larger pieces to create an arrangement on top of pumpkin. Add any accents or filler last. Be sure to decorate the back also. Pumpkins look nice placed on top of a wood plank with fall leaves around the base.
