First Day of School Chalkboard

You know, they really do grow up fast! One day they'’re heading into the 4th grade and then in the blink of an eye they’'re off to college. But when they’'re older, you can still remember those days with our first day of school chalkboard –-- that is if they'’ll still want to hold it up when they get into high school!?

Snap a picture, fight off the tears, and send them off to school! Then share the pic using #ACMooreInspired

Project Instructions

  • 1
Hop on the computer and find different fonts you like. Type information like name, age, grade, etc. for the chalkboard in the different fonts and sizes. Print the words out and cut around them.
  • 2
Rub White chalk on the back of each word, and then tape the word to the chalkboard with chalk side down. Trace over the letters with the pen. Carefully lift the word and you'’ll have an impression of it on the chalkboard.
  • 3
Fill the letters in with chalk markers. Let the marker dry and then you can do several coats for vibrancy.
  • 4
Arrange the information on the chalkboard as shown or as you'’d like.
