Fiskars Hexagon Squeeze Punch Card, Gift Tag and Flowers
Great gift ideas for that someone special!
- Time:1 hour
Use the medium hexagon punch to make an assortment of hexagons on Yellow Dots, Yellow Chevron and Yellow Floral cardstock and adhere in a honeycomb pattern on a piece of Snowcap cardstock that has been folded in half to make a card. If possible, adhere the hexagons to the Snowcap cardstock so that the Snowcap cardstock forms a border between hexagons.
Cut out a 1 inch by 4 inch piece of Pastel Pink cardstock. Add desired sentiment (such as Bee Happy) to Pastel Pink cardstock and adhere to the front of the card.
Turn the punch on its side as shown and punch beginning at the bottom right corner of a piece of Pastel Pink cardstock, lining up the edge with the right side of the hexagon shape. Slide the punch up the right side of the cardstock, punching each chevron shape by lining up the bottom of the points with the middle of the hexagon. (Tip: use a pencil to mark the center on my punch to take any guesswork out of it.)
Once you have enough chevrons, simply line them up and adhere as shown to the tag.
Use jute to tie tag around jar.
Punch out four hexagons from Lemon Yellow cardstock and one smaller hexagon from Orange cardstock using the XL and large punches.
Fold each of the hexagons in half three times, lining up the straight ends. Repeat this three times, lining up the corners. Use the creases to fold each line back and forth as shown. You can create two different designs by having the points folded out or in. As shown, project alternates these two patterns to add extra depth. For the middle section, fold the corners in and glue it completely closed. Repeat this step, this time punching four large hexagons from Bubblegum and smaller hexagon on Pastel Pink.
Glue flowers to chenille stems and place inside Green mason jar.
