Use your favorite photos to make a banner!

Project Details

  • Level:beginner
  • Time:1 hour

Project Instructions

  • 1
Note: the amount of cardstock, photos and ribbon needed is largely contingent upon how long you want your banner to be.
  • 2
Using the standard tag maker, punch tag shapes from photographs. The tag maker punches tags that are 2 by 3 inch in size, so print (or cut) your photos so that they are 3 inch by 4 inch. The tag shape adds a fun element to the photographs.
  • 3
Adhere each tag-shaped photo onto the premade scrapbooking card. (If you are making the scrapbooking cards exclusively for this project, trim the piece(s) of cardstock down to about 4 inch x 6 inch.)
  • 4
Attach photo tag to ribbon along your mantel
  • 5
Attach a ribbon onto your mantle to make the banner.
  • 6
Affix each photo onto the ribbon using the clothespins.
  • 7
(If desired) once the holiday season is over, you can dismantle the banner and easily store it as a pocket scrapbook page. Unpin the clothespin and slide the photo card into the pockets.
