Project Instructions

  • 1
Note: instructions are written and supplies are provided to create a calendar that is about 11 inch tall x 14 inch wide.
  • 2
Use bypass trimmer to cut magnets down to 2 inch x 2 inch. Keep the leftover pieces for a later step.
  • 3
Cut the photos with the trimmer to 2 inch x 2 inch.
  • 4
Gather a handful of coordinating patterned and solid cardstocks and trim them to 2 inch square. Lay 31 squares out on magnetic dry erase board, placing them in rows of 7 across. Add a combination of number stickers, as well as numbers cut from cardstock, to the squares for each day of the month (#1 – 31).
  • 5
Cut 7 pieces of cardstock that are 2 inch x 1-1/2 inch each. Add a combination of letter stickers, as well as letters cut from cardstock, to add the days of the week to the calendar. Trim up any slight measurement differences.
  • 6
Extra photos can remain on the magnetic board or refrigerator off to the side, or placed in a bag and taped to the back of the board. Use the remaining leftover magnetic rectangles, stamps and ink to spell out the month headings.
  • 7
Optional: use foam brush to seal the calendar with Mod Podge to protect the surface.
