Project Instructions

1Create a pie slice template, like the one in the photo below. Cut it out, line it along the edge of a folded paper grocery bag, and trace with marker. Cut out and unfold to create semi-circle template.2Lay the newly created paper bag template onto folded fleece and trace with permanent Black marker. Cut just inside the marked line, through both layers of fleece.3Go back to your pie slice template and cut from the innermost line of your template. Line it along the edge of a folded piece of cardstock and trace with marker. Cut it out and unfold it to create another semicircle template. Clip that new template onto the folded edge of the fleece. Cut strips around the perimeter of the fleece from edge to the template, in approximately half inch increments.4Knot each set of strips twice to secure. Continue around the perimeter of the fleece, stopping when there are five sets of strips left. Stuff fleece with Poly-fil, and then knot remaining strips.5Trace a turkey's head and neck (a child's foot works well!) onto Cocoa felt and cut out. Trace and cut out facial features, such as circles for eyes and a leaf for the wattle. Cut two strips of Tangerine and/or Yellow felt for legs. Cut slits at end of strips for toes. Use the Brown marker to add details to the eyes. Glue all the pieces onto the stuffed turkey and allow to dry.
