- Time:few hours + dry time
To create different sized trees, cut 3" off one of the dowels. Once you have the desired height, paint both dowels Wicker White. After they dry, paint Engine Red stripes and let dry.
Cut several 1/8" x 2" long strips of Red felt for the bird. (They do not need to be the exact size.) Use the orange stick to tuck the center of each felt strip into the 1-1/2" foam ball to completely cover. Glue small beads in place for the birds eyes and a small triangle of Tangerine felt in place for the beak. Glue ribbon around two toothpicks and insert into the bottom of the bird for legs.
Cut several ¾" x 5" strips of Pirate felt. Use the orange stick to tuck the centers of the felt strips into the 4" foam ball to completely cover. Cut several ½" x 4" wide strips of the Kelly Green felt. Tuck the felt strips into the 3" foam ball to completely cover.
Trim the 6" foam ball to fit snuggly inside the container. Glue the shorter dowel into the 3" felt foam ball and the other end into the container. Glue the taller dowel into the 4" felt foam ball and the other end into the container slightly angled. Glue the bird into the container in front of the trees.
Tie Christmas ribbon around the top of the container and fill with artificial snow.
