I'm getting the family ready for our traditional July 4th picnic. I'd like to say Happy Birthday America! My wonderful country. Thank you to all the men and woman that serve our country, putting their lives on the line each day to keep me and my family safe, to keep our freedoms alive. They are away from their families and unfortunately some of the families may never see their loved ones again. Let them know that they will be forever remembered on this special and sacred day. For they are the reasons why my family and others are able to sit in their backyards eating hot dogs and hamburgers and playing with their families. Even though I have never met them, they will always hold a special place in my heart.

Happy 4th of July! Happy Birthday America!

God Bless The USA!

Thank You!

I had a great day. Took my scooter on the T and headed to a spot where I could hear the music and see the fireworks. This will probably be my last time to see the Boston Pops in person on the 4th. I brought my cord and was able to plug it in to recharge the battery to make sure I got home. Being handicapped has its perks.

During the day I went to my daughter's house for the BBQ in her yard. Did not go into the pool. It has been a long day and I am tired. I am sure I will sleep tonight.

Happy Birthday Americans!!!

Are the Pops going somewhere? Cause if they are not you are not allowed to talk like that Addie!

No, they are staying right here in Boston. But it really was a difficult day and very tiring. You have to remember I am 70 y.o. But when you are handicap, people do go out of their way to help you. From now on, I will be watching them on TV. Downtown Boston can get very crowded. I think I will stick to the mall where my ACM is.

I hear ya, Addie....it's probably a lot of trouble getting there...even with people being helpful. Heck...sitting at home and watching it on tv...you have the best seat in the house...even though being there live is exciting.

Peace

Happy 4th to everyone! Addie, I used to live in Boston and I got to hear
the Pops concerts at the Esplanade, with Arthur Feidler conducting, many
times. The cannons being shot over the Charles River and the church bells
ringing made for a finale that was the best ever!
