Good Morning everyone. In June we only had eight days of sunshine. And July hasn't been much better. But this week is supposed to improve. I have been so looking forward to sitting down on the patio doing my needlework this summer. I have had only a couple of days so far. We in New England are still waiting for Spring and Summer to arrive.

The Pirate has gone to work with my oldest son. He owns his own contracting business. I have been helping The Pirate since January when he got laid off. He has been searching every single day for a job. There just aren't any out there. He did get called for two jobs and was interviewed twice at each one. But they both hired someone else. But he has noticed that there are more jobs being posted. So that is a good sign.

Right now I am making preemie hats for the hospital. They are so simple to make and they work up in a matter of minutes. I think I will either find a knitting project or go back to embroidery. I do have a project of the woven hot pads ongoing for the church's fair in November. I also am still buying at least two food items each month for their food bank. It is the only food bank in my community. I try to buy items that will feed two or more people for one meal. Like a large bag of generic cereal, large box of rice, dry beans, etc. I came across a five pound bag of rice for less than two dollars and bought it for the church. They broke it down into 16 ounce Ziploc bags and was able to make it go a long way. It is my way of giving back. I am very fortunate in my senior years that I am truly free from want. I have four children who make sure all my needs are met, my income is adequate, and I have friends that I really cherish.

So right now the only thing I am lacking is sunshine. The management of the building has after eleven years since this building opened, finally had the outside and inside of the windows cleaned. I may not have sunshine today, (in my heart I do) but I do have LIGHT coming in the windows. Now I have to get the blinds cleaned. It will cost me $125 to get all four blinds done. One blind is 14 feet by 60 inches. Quite a challenge. The window cleaner have to bring in a special laddeer for that one.

I wish for all of you is that you have the peace of mind and lack of any major problems that I have. My health is top notch right now. I have a brand new grandson, ( will post the pic) and all is well. In spite of all the clothing he received, they had to buy preemie clothes for him. They have named him Anders Grayson.

I am happy that Pirate could do something to bring some money it. I am so glad that I don't have to deal with private sector for my well being. Your grandson looks so adorable.

Congrats.
