GRRRRRRR....I wanted to decorate a memo board for my grandaughter to hang her art work. I laid everything out on the bed , the phone rang. by the time I picked it up and returned to the room, my cat had scratched up the entire cork on the board.
Okay, I'll just go get another one....but that board was $10.00, I can salvage it by covering it with construction paper and use it at the school.

So I should have known that everything I touched today, did not turn out. I had some projects I wanted to try and nothing turned out to my satisfaction.

I think I'll go watch tv.

Sorry to hear that... my kitty kids have done similar. I had scrapbooking paper laid out -- somebody jumped up on it, then pushed off with their back claws. Scratches and tears. Of course, I didn't have any of the same paper left at home.
bang head here
I just want to know: how do they know to go play with our stuff?

Keep smiling,
j.

Oh no. I don't have a cat, just a 75 lb. dog who loves to try to steal the stuff from the table when I am crafting and not paying enough attention to her.

Lack of "personal attention" is why cats do that. It's a way to GET your attention!!!
Then when they get your attention, they look at you as if to say, "What do YOU want?"

Usually I am able to keep Bailey away from my crafting stuff. Oh well.

I ran to office depot today and looked at cork boards, they wanted $21.99 for the exact same one!! off to Wal Mart where I picked it up for 7.97. I decorated it with sage/pink silk flowers and leaves in one corner going down the side. her room is sage grn/pink so I think she'll like it. Her party is this afternoon so after church I literally ran around getting it done.

As for my other projects, I need to remember to stop making is so complicated and just keep it SIMPLE.

So true! I'm the same way.

P.S. The bulletin board sounds great, and I'm sure she loves it.

Oh elayne, I hate it when things like that happen. The board you made sounds nice. Be sure to post a picture of it.

I'm with you KarenJo. I don't have a cat but I have a 100 lb. dog who thinks he's a lap dog. I have to make sure not to leave anything where he can get it.

One time my BIL went to put something on the table. It was too close to the edge. On the floor it went. Cleaned that up. Several minutes later, again. After a few more times of the same thing, he took his arm, swept it across the table and said, "If you want to be on the floor, then that is where you are going." Then he left the room and my sister standing there with a startled look on her face and a mess to clean up. Some days, nothing goes right. So give in and go on to something else.
