So, here's what appears to be a glitch in the website. I wanted to check a refund card that I have found buried in a drawer. Scrolled down to the bottom of the home page, clicked on gift cards, found that you can no longer check balances on line. Called the number (and of course the option is changed), followed the voice prompts, pressed "2" (as the voice prompt said) for gift card balances and got... a dial tone.

Interestingly enough, the line right above where it tells you how to check your gift balances indicates that if you buy a gift card for someone "the recipient can always check their remaining balance on our website." Little bit of mis-information there I guess.

So I guess rather than driving all the way to ACM to find I have nothing on my gift card, I'll head to .

Did you try the prompt to get to a live person? I had a problem similar to this a while back with another company while they were "upgrading" their phone systems.

I am sure it is just temporary.

Hey Debbi...maybe you could PM AdminLady...if she doesn't know the answer...she could probably find out how you can find out what your gift card balance is. She did say in an earlier post not to send her an e-mail...she suggests PM's.

LOL.. nah... actually I emailed (and received a response from) the President/CEO. He's going to check into it when he returns to NJ.

Hi Debbieinnj I called the 888 number and the voice prompt said that option 3 was for card balance look ups. I didn't have a gift card to check it though...

FYI-you can now look up your gift/refund card number online instead of calling the 888 number.

The option on the phone didn't work and neither did the online link. I used to work for AC Moore - these things not working didn't surprise me in the least. I haven't tried again - I get so frustrated with the lack of things working with this company that I just gave up. I'll probably never shop in an ACM store again so the balance on my gift card doesn't really matter anymore.

I am sorry you have been having difficulty. I know from experience how frustrating technical glitches can be. However, I can assure you that we take these maters very seriously and since you stated on July 4 that you had been in contact with the "President/CEO." and that "He's going to check into it when he returns to NJ."
