Please pray for the family of Somer, the little 7 yr old Orange Park, Fl girl who was abducted on her way home from school Monday and was found in a landfill 2 days later. I have a 5 yr old granddaughter in kindergarten in Jacksonville, FL (about 20 miles from Orange Park) and this is just to close to home. Hopefully the person who did this will be caught quickly and will be brought to justice swiftly. May this family find peace and comfort from our prayers.

I have been so upset about little Somer. I feel so bad for her family. Whoever killed her and dumpled her body is a monster.

I watched her mother on the Today Show this morning, and I cried. How sad. I can't imagine the heartwrenching sorrow her family must be experiencing.

Peace

J-ville is my home town, this hit WAY too close to home for me. I hug my kids a little harder now and have never been so happy to homeschool them in all my life.

My daughter who lives(and has the 5 yr old)in Jax went to the candlelight vigil for her last night and said it was Heart-wrenching to sing Somer's favorite song "You are my Sunshine". She said there were hundreds of people there. When my girls (3) were little they played in the yard, rode their bikes around the neighborhood, went to play with the neighbor kids and was told "be home for lunch or supper". Now you can't even let your kids play in your own yard. Unfortuneatly, this is just a sign of the times.
