I just got my rewards card the other day in White Marsh, MD. When I read the fine print in the terms/conditions online, it said that any account that had less than 200 points by a certain point in Jan. would be reset. Any chance of a waiver on that, seeing as how it's already Nov.? Makes me not want to start accumulating points now, if they're just going to go away....

This is true, deadline is January 2 for earning points.

You can email customerservice@acmoorerewards.com with any questions you have about the Rewards Card program.

I saw that too. I am guessing they are going to do it year-by-year.

I think they need to rethink this expiration date thingy - right now I have 410 pts, so I'll get 20.00 in gift credit in December, leaving 10 pts. I have a coupon for an extra 25 pts today - but I don't think I'll be spending another 190.00 in the next couple of weeks. I don't like losing my points when I spend my hard earned cash at ACM - might as well shop elsewhere for the next month.

I thought that was not a nice thing to do to us considering some of us just got the rewards program in out area some months ago. I didnt get a chance to actually accumulate points to just have them vanish.

That would suck, I have almost enough to earn a credit. I would hate to lose them.

The FB page says they reset January 2. Anyone who has 200 points at close of business on Jan 2 gets their certificate mailed out on or about the 19th of January.

I think they should rethink this policy, especially since last year the program was not in effect for the entire year on certain parts of the country. I lost 150 points and was not aware of this until I went to check my points balance. I for one don't understand the purpose of doing this.

Just an FYI, another disappointing thing about the $10 rewards certificates...

I just got back from my store where I purchased a $70 2-in-1 paper cutter and trimmer. The cashier gave me a heads up when checking out and told me that with the $10 certificate, I will not get any credit back for it if I returned my item. I figured that was fine, since I was definitely going to be keeping it. Well, I got it home two hours after buying it and upon opening the box, I found a broken piece. Thinking that it would be better to return it the same day, I drove back to the store again and brought it to the same cashier. The cashier had to call the manager, who argued with me and gave me MAJOR grief for using a rewards certificate, and eventually ended up giving me a rain check for my item at the lowest cost (which now I have to wait, who knows how many days, for it to arrive in the store). This is my SECOND time in 2010 arguing with an AC Moore employee over points in this program - two times too many, in my opinion.

My point is, since we work so hard to accumulate points for the certificates (which may end up expiring anyway!), shouldn't we have more give on the rules for these rewards certificates? It almost seems like more hassle than what it's worth.... snooty
