I do neither scrapbooking or cardmakinig. But every so often I come across a craft program about either subject. I watch it because every other channel is a repeat. So my question is; "Do any of you watch craft shows on TV on a regular basis for ideas?" And if so what shows? I know that DIYTV has shows on a regular basis. (I don't get that show, but will go on line for info.) HGTV is another channel that has craft shows. And of course as always, there is dear old Martha Stewart pushing her products.and now she wants to start her own network.

No offense to the Martha Fans, but let her have her own network and then I won't have to watch so much of her. I catch the re-runs of Sandy Genieve(sp?) on DIY scrapbooking, I've caught Paint,Paper,& Crafts re-runs on of Public Broadcast channel, and recently caught Scrapbook Memories they are re-run of course. Most of the ideas are pretty old but it's still cool to hit the DVR to record them and watch them later.

I watch the scrapbooking shows too. I DVR them so I can skip past the things that don't interest me. I also like to DVR the home shoppping channels when they have scrapbooking stuff on. I never buy anything I just like to watch them demonstrate the products and get some ideas.

I am with you Hobby on MS. Her favorite expression used to be, "buy only the very best" until an audience member called her down on it on national television. She was told point blank that not everyone had her money and couldn't afford the "very best". Her height of snobbery is way up there and it shows as she continually talks down to her audience.
Oh yes, and one more thing. Her products that she keeps pushing are not always "the very best quality."

I changed from satellite to cable - had to to save money and sad now because I no longer get DIY - my favorite channel. I also absolutely loved Scrapbook Memories that was on the Mormon station BGY or something. It was on at 5:00a.m. but I TIVO'd it. If you can find it that is excellent. HGTV has some programming, but I haven't found it all yet.
I found so many on-line sites, that's where I watch most of it now.

Fuzzy, I like her punches if I can use a coupon because they are pricey. I also want some of the Martha glitter. I caught one of the Scrap Memories shows on design and it was full of education.

I caught one of the Scrap Memories shows on design and it was full of education. I'm really interested in her "around the corner" punches - but I see that Fiskars is introducing something that looks like that and I'll bet it will be a lot less money. Along the same line - I see that another store will have her stuff on sale - which you never saw before and they do accept coupons now. Guess she got the idea that we weren't going to pay her prices for "the best"! - LOL My daughter bought me her glitter and I have to admit it is nice, but then again, I haven't tried a lot of glitters because I just don't like the mess of them - I prefer glitter glues.

Last year I googled MS and there is a site dedicated to complaints about her products. The main complaint is that when one of her products fail to be better than it says or there is a flaw, you can't get a refund and her company refuses to acknowledge any responsibility to the customer.
