I have got sooooo many paper scraps. You know, where you use part of a 12x12 piece, but have enough left that you just don't want to throw it out because you might need it someday. Except someday the drawer holding the scraps is overflowing and you couldn't find a particular scrap if your life depended on it. I have used some on some cards and a few other things but I have so much left. I don't even know how to organize it, but I hate to waste it. Would anyone like a RAOK envelope of scrap scrapbooking paper? Or are you ready to leave yours on someone's doorstep and knock and run?

LOL! I know what you mean. I have a file box that is dedicated just to scrap paper; all sorted in hanging folders by color.

I can't believe that when I first started this hobby I actually bought one of those 1 lb packs of scrap paper...

I sell my box of scraps each time we have a garage sale! Once a piece gets smaller than card size, I toss it in the box.

Gee, it is nice to know that I am not the weird one. I hate waste. With anything. Someone once told me, "Get over it, your parents lived through the depression, not you." I just couldn't buy it.

Sorry I've got a 12x12 box filled already. Some folks tell me that pre-schools and the such love paper.

I think being the true scrappers that we are, we just can't throw something out that we might have a use for. I have a big box full of scraps. A good way I use up scraps is making diamond fold cards. I make a whole lot of them with all my scraps except for the actual card. I can get 3 cards with 1 piece of 12 X 12 paper and the rest is my scrap stash. I sell them so it's a good way to keep my cost down and clean out my scraps too. Here is what the diamond fold card looks like. I will post the directions if anyone wants them. They're fun to make.

Thank you Bluucaca and Frndly. They're fun to make. I'll post the directions in a topic of it's own.

Those cards look really cool! applause I would love the directions as well.

As for the scraps...I have a lot too, maybe we could swap them? One of you might find the perfect scrap in my stuff....just what you were looking for. think

Danova, I did too. I think we all bought scrap paper. Little did we know how much scrap paper we would have.

I bought a plastic expanding tote that has 12 sections in it. I labeled each section by color and file scraps in there. I don't cut up 12 x 12 or even 8-1/2 x 11 paper until I check my file first and 99 times out of 100, I have the piece that I need to complete a project. Also, most of the scraps can be used for cards or embellishments. I don't keep anything smaller than 2x2 though which in itself is pretty small, but comes in very handy for mounting embellishments for scrapbooking.

Oh, and because it's a tote with a handle, it easily goes with me when I scrap away from home. So I not only use it, but I share with everyone at a crop.

Here's a picture of it - it really works great

the only thing it says on it is "Nicole Classic". I don't even remember where I got it.

Janine, these are really lovely. Would you mind posting the instructions? Did you use a ScorPal for your folds? Thanks!
BTW, I do what Fuzzy does with my larger scraps. With the smaller ones I use them for serendipity squares or smaller punches.
