I would like to make a quilt any ideas on what would be a good beginning pattern

Log Cabin!! I made my first quilt and that's the pattern I used. The triangles were to hard for me to get right. The Log Cabin pattern is just squares and rectangles. Very easy to line up and sew.

Awww, thank you!  Now, I just have to put the border on, then the back and the batting and attempt to stipple. That's the scary part for me.

I'm still working on my patchwork quilt My first one I work on it for a bit and then go to something else and then come back to it I can't stay on one thing to long Don't know why But I am making head way on the quilt though
