Does anyone know a good way to tie off hemp and add a clasp when using 3 or more strands?

I will try to answer your question about your hemp item. They do sell two-part metal clasps that have three circles (for the threads) and a chain that hangs and the other part of the clasp with three circles that has a "claw" to hook on to the chain. Try to picture a rectangle with three circles on one side and a chain or claw on the other side of the rectangle.
I know this was hard for me to explain but I tried my best.

I also thought of using 2 crimp style cord tips and a lobster claw to attach it. It would have to extra large of course.
Both of these items above can be found in AC Moore.

How about using a good size clam shell clamp? Just push it through and tie a knot, then close the rest over. Its pretty easy. www.freewebs.com/pattiejp2002
