What is everyone's favorite cartridge(s) for Cricut?
I have the George's Basic and that is all.
I have been watching eBay and those things are cheaper
but you can still sink money in them really quick.

Hi
My two favorite shape carts are Walk in my Garden and Stretch your Imagination.
And my favorite font carts are Cutting Up and Opposites Attract.
Hope this helps.

I guess I should also mention Doodlecharms. I like this one too.

Well, let me see. I'm pretty picky with my carts I have a lot, but not all of them.

Here are the ones that I have and why I love them LOL!!!

Fonts
1. Alphalicious - This is just a cool font! I love everything about it. To me it seems "playful"

2. Base Camp - A great basic font, very versital

3. Cuttin' Up - To me, a fun "kid-like" font

4. Jasmine - A nice, delicate script. But you do need to use a thicker cardstock and larger font size (I usually use 2 1/2 inches). Smaller cuts and light paper will tend to rip and bend the letters.

5. Makin' the Grade - Great for school layouts

6. Mickey Font - Fun, chuncky font

7. Mini Monograms - To me it's an eclectic font. Almost each letter has three different choices so it's like getting three fonts on one cart. I really use it mostly for the scalloped circels and squares. I haven't used this one to it's potential, but I've seen others that do amazing work with it.

8. Plantin' Schoolbook - Another basic font like Base Camp. It has some great shapes on this one!

9. Pooh Font - This is another one that like multiple fonts on one cart. You have the regular font that is pictured on the back, then a marker choice and a wood choice.

10. Printing 101 - A nice printing with a slant. Looks great!

11. Tear Drop - Two fonts on one. You have a dropless feature to change the look of the font.

Shapes
1. Accent Essentials - Just what the name says. Awesome flourishes and different shapes. Great!

2. Animal Kingdom - Tons of animals, but on the cartoonish side. Great for kids cards or pages

3. Cars. Who doesn't love that movie LOL!! But you can't cut the race cars (lightning McQueen, King and Chick) at small sizes because of the "racing stickers" the blade shreds the paper. Bigger sizes only for them. I cut Luigi at 2 3/4 and he came out great!

4.Doodlecharms - Great accent shapes for cards etc... I made a journaling card out of the cupcake for a layout.

5. Dreams Come True - Has Ariel - The Little Mermaid and some characters, Belle - Beauty and the Beast and Characters, Jasmine - Aladdin and characters and Pocahontas and Characters

6. Happily Ever After - Has Cinderella and characters, Sleeping Beauty and characters, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Mulan and characters.

7. Joys of the Season - A slightly more sophisticated Christmas cart. Also has Chanukah designs.

8. Locker Talk - Whimsical school shapes. I just used this one to make a bookmark for my son who just started reading. Very cute shapes and it has designs for older kids (driver's lincense etc...)

9. Mickey and Friends - This one pretty much says it all. LOL!!

10. Paper Doll Dress Up - This cart has sooooooo much in the way of extras. If you never cut a doll from this cart, the extra's alone are completely worth getting this cart.

11. Paper Pups - For the David Walker fans. Has just what it says - Pups! and different shapes and sayings to go along with it.

12. Pooh and Friends - Says it all LOL!

13. Stretch Your Imagination - On the idea of Doodlecharms where it has a lot of different shapes for different things (seasons, wedding, school bus etc.) You can make cards and matching envelopes.

14. Tags, Bags, Boxes and More - This one does what the name says. Good on the smaller Cricut. You can use the bags and such for smaller gifts like gift cards and jewelry etc... Better on the Expression because you can make them much, much larger.

15. Tinkerbell and Friends - Exactly what the name says. Has some cute sayings on it as well (ie. Small is the new Big, Sweet and Sassy, Charming etc...)

The Disney shape carts are much better being cut at larger sizes because some of the shapes are soooooo detailed that the blade will "overlap" the same cut if using a smaller setting and basically ruin the cut. I've learned this the hard way. They are also time consuming, but so worth it. The ending result is amazing!

I hope some of this helps in your decision making. Like I said, i'm pretty picky with my carts. I look them over long and hard before deciding if I want it or not. Becareful not to get "cart-happy" and want to buy them all up. Also, the stores do have some great sales on them instead of Ebay. Just another option.

I don't have too many carts but I love Paper Doll Dress Up. Even if you never make a paper doll, there is so mcuh on this cart. There are a ton of extras.

For fonts I like the Mickey Font because it has nice, big chunky letters.

I also like Mickey and Friends and Dreams Come True (I'm an Ariel fan).

Celebrations is a cute cart that I use a lot for a lot of different things. It has cute cupcakes, cakes, party stuff, presents, and candles. It also has a nice scalloped circle and square on it.

They haven't come out with one (yet). I've heard there are about 20 more cartridges being release this year. So, you never know, on may be a beach theme.

Domestic Diva, no they don't have a beach themed cart yet. I hope they do get one. I live down the shore so a beach cart would be a must for me.

Paper Doll Dress Up has some cute beach cuts on it and so does Dreams Come True. My friend just got back from Cancun so I cut her a bunch of beach/ocean things. She's going to show me her album when she's done with it.

Deana, that's why I don't have a lot of carts. I wait for them to be on sale for a really good price. I have yet to spend more than 40.00 for a cart.

I found the Disney carts on clearance at Wal-mart last summer. I got Dreams Come True and Happily Ever After for 20.00 and Mickey and Friends and Mickey Font for 35.00. I grabbed them and put them away for Christmas.

I've never bought any off of Ebay but you could probably get good prices there. You can also check the sellers ratings to see if they're reliable and honest.

I've never bought a cart off sale. I've always waited. The most I've paid is $49.99, any higher than that and I'll wait. I got 4 of them at the Black Friday sale at M's. They were super cheap then.

Same here, I have never bought a cart at full price. I have 10 total, and one came with my baby cricut, and 8 of them my DH got me for Christmas when they were on sale at black friday. My 10th one I got this week when they were on sale. Normally I would have waited until the Black Friday Sales, but this is one that I really, really, really, really, wanted. So I bit the bullet and bought it on sale for $49. Still a good price, I don't think I could pay $100 for one.

tacyn2, I was just looking to see what's on the Wild Card cart. I've heard good things about it.

My mother just informed me that she will be giving me 50.00 this year for my birthday next month(actually it's her birthday too, I was born on my mother's birthday). We usually just do scratch-off tickets for birthdays. My first thought was "I'm going to the craft store - whoo hoo!!".

I only have three so far...I love the Storybook cartridge over the two Christmas ones I have. Though I do like those too.
