So we are coming up on our year anniversary. Everyone else does awards - Oscars, Emmys, Grammies, Country Music, even KidsChoice. I think we need to have some ACM awards. No fortune (darn) but for the fame and glory. I am thinking: Entertainer of the Year Cricut Entertainer Scrapbooker Crocheter Knitter Cardmarker ETC. What does everyone else think? Admin Lady?

Count me in. Would there be any way that could include the points that are accumulating with our posts?

OK, Let's do this! First we will make up the awards. PM me your ideas for the awards by Friday July 3rd. Then I will take nominations for the awards from July 4 to July 11. Then we can vote via the poll feature for each category until the 23rd. How does that sound?
Admin Lady is on Patrol... Please review the Site Rules and contact me if you have any questions or concerns (compliments are welcome too!)

Yeah Yeah I'll take the great sportsmen of the year - since I don't craft that much now, I am still a good sport about it :)

Now that we are going to do this, I need to do some deep thinking about the categories. Initially, my thoughts are for: An ACM Forum Person of the Year. This could be the top award and given to someone who just has kept the boards "alive" with her/his ideas, suggestions, feedback, etc. Since we have so many types of crafters, it is hard to narrow down categories. A couple of ideas: "It's Not a Paperless Society" could include cardmakers, scrapbookers and other types of paper crafts, including the die-cut board, who we think are top notch. "Hanging on By a Thread" could include the knitters, crocheters and maybe those who sew. Since one of our main rules is to keep the boards friendly and positive, maybe we could have a Ms. Congeniality (sorry, do we have any guys?). Just some suggestions. Dont' want to "hog" the ideas.
