Now that I have Vista on my puter , all kinds of things are different. What a learning curve. yuck! anyway I wanted to post some crafts and I use photobucket.
It won't copy the IMG for the message boards, it tells me to put in a ilnk.that didn't work either. anyone have the solution? thanks.

elayne, I am sure someone will be able to help - but it isn't me! I am waiting for DD to show me how to post anything, and I don't have Vista.

elayne, Ok.. let's see if I can explain this. After you have opened photobucket. Click on the picture that you want to copy. In the lower left corner of that screen you should see a box that says "Share this Image". Left click on the IMG code... the actual code not the words "IMG code". It should highlight it in blue and a separate yellow box should appear that says "Copied". At this point you can paste your picture into your ACM post..... it should appear as this old card of mine does here. When you click to paste you will not see your picture until you click "Preview" here under your post. You will see the actual IMG code. Hope I explained it correctly.

Sometimes mine won't say copied so I just run the pointer over the IMG line and right click and then select copy and when you are in your post here just right click and paste.

Well the good news is that those that have just purchase a puter with Vista, the new Windows will be available to those folks free. Everyone hates Vista. I just bought The Pirate a new laptop and it has Vista. He can't wait until the new Windows is available in October. Everything he has learned on a puter he learned on mine. I have XP Pro. He loves it. And the reviews for the new Windows are sky high. EVERYONE loves it.

Addie...okay lets see what happens then.
Cinnamon , thats how I've been posting my pics, it doesn't work that way anymore, the support ctr from Photobucket told me I had to post links...well...duh I tried that too.
Hobbyaholic, I did it your way but I'll try again...I just can't get anything to say its copied.
I had to stop trying cause I ws starting to have panic attacks...just kidding...but almost...lol.. I'll keep working on it, I know theres a way.

elayne.. That is weird. I posted that picture on Friday....they changed it overnight?? Maybe its Vista... I will try on my grandson's computer(he has Vista) when I am over there.

Look at the code here in the ACMreply post after you've hit paste. Does it say: "{img][IMG]blahblahblahblahblahblah[IMG] [/img}"? There should only be two [img] brackets...one at the beginning of the code..and one at the end. I have found that sometimes I have four...and when there's two at the beginning...and two at the end...the picture won't show up. hope that helps.

Rett..it doesn't say anything, doesn't give me any options, no window appears.
Photobucket told me that because vista has adobe 10.5 version its a little more difficult but they claim it can be done. so far no luck. I may surprise you guys one day and post a picture but right now I'm over it.

Oh glory glory...I finally figured out how to post (I think) after sending photobucket a few emails, they apologized for sending the wrong instructions first time...HA! as if I needed more problems. anyway I did post a picture in altered projects, dont' have a clue how I did it...lol.
