I know there was a thread recently asking about it but I can't locate it now so I am starting a new one.

I will then re-post them here in ABC order:

I do a quilt every year for St Judes Childrens Hospital in Memphis. It is sponsored by Hancock Fabrics and there are youth, customer and employee divisions.

Jodi do you have a link or some information about that? I'm an organ donor and it sounds interesting.

I just found an article in the paper we get at the Ft Gillam Commissary about a project called "Knit for the Navy". Says it provides "little touches of home for deployed sailors". The group responsible is called NAVYForMoms.com and if anyone could use some yarn for a project like this or need more info, let me know.

I've made a few baby hates using the Knifty Knitter loom. I give the hats to the lady who runs The Knit Wits group at Gunpowder Baptist Church in Freeland, MD. She then donates the hats to Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, MD.

I don't have a link .. We contact local hospitals and find out what can and can not be given to children .. most things are those that can not hold bacteria for obvious reasons .. We also support the .. "walk the Walk" in point pleasant nj .. its a 2 mile walk around the board walk to raise money for organ donor recp. I'm a living donor .. donated a kidney 4 yrs ago this past march to my husbands sister.

Trying to find people to support this is really hard .. most don't think its worth it .. untill someone in their family needs that donor.. no one thinks about it. Which is really sad.

That's great Jodi. What a wonderful thing you did. I tried to get on the bone marrow donor list but they wouldn't accept me because I have asthma and I use a rescue inhaler. I was upset that I couldn't be tested. I went because there was a little girl who needed a bone marrow transplant so the hospital was doing a bone marrow drive to try and find her a match. The little girl didn't make it which made me feel even worse.

I just noticed that you're from Jersey, me too. I go to Point Pleasant all the time. We'll be there this Thursday night for the fireworks at Jenkinsons. I live in south Jersey.
