Hi All, Just wanted you to know that I am in packing mode cause we are moving. Hopefully this week sometime (haven't called mover yet cause we still need occupancy permit which we should have Monday!). As of Wednesday, I will no longer have my DSL service until I get my computer moved to my new home which hopefully will be Thursday and I can run over and chat again. Just in case anyone is interested... I counted all my sheets of scrapbook paper - 4500 sheets and that doesn't count my 8 1/2 x 11! YIKES!! After I get settled I guess I have to earn the title of "Paper Artist" you so graciously gave me. I have so many ideas in my head. I will check in as I can up to Wednesday. Look forward to chatting and being with all of you again.

Good luck with your move. I can't believe you counted your paper! I keep saying I am going to count it, but I never do. Maybe I'm afraid I can't count tht high.

Well.. we moved Monday. Movers called at 12 noon to say they would be there at 1 - I had almost everything done except some clothes in the closet, take the bed apart, dismantle my computer, clean out fridge/freezer. Needless to say it all got done and moved. My craft stuff still sits in boxes for now. Hubby and son are going to put up shelves for me on one wall so I can put the stuff on. I am hoping to get it done before next week as hubby is going in the hospital and will not be able to do anything for couple months. Other than that.. got window shades to buy, walk-in closet to figure out and buy parts, buy shower curtain and some scatter rugs. Glad to be back!!!!

In some ways it is nice to make a fresh start, clean out stuff you are holding on to, reorganize, etc., but I do hate to move. When we moved into this house 15 years ago, I swore I would never move again.

just thinking about moving makes my head hurt to much stuff to pack ,then unpack which i would throw away alot of things but still just doing it all would take me days maybe even weeks but like you said it''s a fresh start. I moved here to NC 12yrs ago and i didn't have that much but now i have double or triple the stuff

blu... When I moved from my home, I realized then how much I had that I didn't need. Moving this time was a lot easier, but I still gave away a lot ... even some of my scrapbook paper. It is amazing to realize what you can live wtihout and how much easier it makes your life. I still have several boxes to unpack, but in time they will get done.

The rule is, "If you haven't used it in a year's time, then you probably never will." Pass it on or toss it out.
I went from a four bedroom, to a two bedroom, to a large studio, to a smaller studio. And the only thing I miss is my large dining room table. It was great for doing crafts. But I can go down to the community room any time of day or night and work there. And that table space is three times the size of my dining room table.
Glad that you are in your new home. Good luck. May you find only hapiness there with your family.

I know when we moved into the house we are in now, I broke my little finger the day we stated moving. Had a tough time, it was my right hand and I am totally right handed. Congrats on your move. Enjoy the new adventrue.

Congratulations on your new home. I moved to NC 13 years ago and still have some boxes I've never unpacked. Mostly sentimental things that didn't fit in my new home. Guess it's time to pass those things on to the kids so they can store them. LOL

I can relate, We moved in to my home, about 20 years ago. The three kids moved out, then one of them came home three times, along with everything else, and a new granddaugther. In the last month we moved her and granddaugther out for good.
Oh forgot we moved my mom in, in Jan. So after the daughter moved this last time. I warned mom I am never doing it again. SO she is stuck with us.
Besides who can afford rent or morgage. That gived me more money for crafts.
