Did you know that the little plastic piece that is on the gel pens are there for a reason and should be replaced after you use the pens? It is amazing the things you learn while you are suppose to be working....lol

I always threw those little plastic coatings away.

Gel pens have never been big sellers in this part of the country because schools were banning them. I have no idea why. As a result, I never had an inclination to buy one. And as a Temp Worker, I do know that a lot of companies would not allow you to use one on documents and refused to order them in their supplies. Again I have no idea why. I never questioned it. Just went along with the flow. After all. It is their company, their rules.

Also the gel candles were getting a lot of bad publicity about being dangerous. So schools stopped selling them. I have never bought one of them either.

Hmm, I would only use it on my cards and LOs.

Addie, you got me curious as to why they're banned.

I will have to ask my g'daughter when I see her. I think it has something to do with kids sniffing the gel. I am not sure.
