I'll try to stagger the postcard and inchie swap. Maybe make one due the 15 th and the other the 30th. What do you think? Inchies are usually pretty fast cuz they are so small.

LOL @ the idea of inchies being fast. Since I just did my 1st swap and they took me a minute to figure out. They go fast after you get a design worked out.

Great idea Piggy - I'm in too. I haven't done any inchies but I found a great place for stamps for them. Of course, I have to find the site again since my computer crashed and I lost all my favorite sites!!!!

What can you make inchies out of? Just scrap paper or do they need to be card stock or something heavy?

I made mine on scraps and then added them to a "ritz cracker box" backing. I do that with my ATCs & Postcards too. But I would imagine that heavy cardstock would work the same.

Yup, inchies should be sturdy. I usually use thin chipboard as a backing. Whenever I find a carton made of nice chipboard I cut it all up into inchies. That way I have a lot of backs ready to go. I also tend to design, color, etc first and then punch out my inchie with my square punch.

I've also done inchies by making a background on a full 8-1/2 x 11 paper and then cutting it up to embellish.
Inchies make great embellishments on cards, ATC or scrapbook pages. Some people do inchie alphabets. Each letter is embellished and made into a title on a page.

Very cool. I think I may try some of these. Do they all get mailed to one person and you divide them up? (Sorry, never done an inchie swap before!)

You mail all of your inchies to the host and then she/he sends them out to everyone.

I think I'll try these too. I'll sign up for January at least.

Piggy - what about paper size to start? A 6 x 6 square will yield 36 inchies. 8-1/2 x 11 will yield 88. As a general rule you use more than one inchie on a project - so perhaps we could go with the rule of three as a minimum for each. So if 10 people sign up you make at least 30.
What do you think - anyone with any ideas?

To start I think we will make one inchie for each person particpating. Then each of us can use the inchies we receive as inspiration to create our own projects.

October card swap is using the inchies from this swap - I think I would need more than one inchie for a card. What do you think?

I think I like Piggy's idea. One for each person signed up so that it's not so time consuming. I was looking forward to fast and easy on this one.

I've made cards with just one inchie. The website above has some examples.

Maybe after the 1st few swaps I will be up for making large groups of them. I've only done inchies once and it did take me a little bit of time to figure them out and finish them.

I never tried inches, but I would be willing to try. So each person would receive 1 inchie each? Sounds really easy--almost too easy. I will try to make a couple with my Christmas cards scrap--and see what I can come up with. May be willing to try if they are truly easy. Will see.
