Just for you Cr8. It's for cake decoraters. I'll have to find the link and post it.

*ETA*
Ok, they pulled it so you can't see it yet. But it was a ruby red cricut that looked like the Expression (same size etc..) It had plastic covers where the screen and overlay would go and a plastic covering around the area for the cartridge. I guess it's for cutting fondant (sp?). There's even a cake cartridge with it. I'm sure once it's debued (sp?) at CHA they'll put the link back.

Cre8, did you know you could use gumpaste in your circut to cut out images for your cakes? See my post mentioning gumpaste in this forum.

Yeah, you should see it! Nothing I need it, personally. But I thought the color was really pretty.

If I'm thinking of the same thing, it was announced at the CHA Show this weekend in California. I thought I heard it called The Cricut Cakes & there is a cake cartridge that comes with it.happy

The lady in the black is the same lady that did the DVD I bought to use my Expression. I am glad that ProvoCraft took her idea AND she is getting to be a part of this "new" product. I would have been really upset if she had been left out of the loop.

Is gum paste & fondont the same thing?
Also, what I am wondering, why couldn't you use the expression cricut with the new mat & blade. What else is so new besides the red color, blade & mat?

Does anyone know if the cake carts can be used with the orig. cricuts? They have some cute designs I'd like to decorate my pages with!

Oh, and my friend just bought the Expression in Navy blue, I had no idea they came in other colors (other than the one for breast Cancer...pink!!)

The colors were only released Black Friday at Walmart (Blue, Red, Green & Black)

They Cricut Cake is stainless steel around the blade and has a special non sticky mat and plastic covers for the keypad and cart slot. It still cuts paper but they don't want you to buy it for paper, I watched a Youtube video with a guy that kept asking about paper.

I am re-visiting this topic to say I will NOT be using the new "Cake" machine. I bought a baby bug and I will use that one and my Expression. I was VERY unhappy to learn that ProvoCraft DID NOT pay Linda McClure for her awesome idea even though she was in the video. I for one will support her by buying her DVDs and NOT buying Cricut Cake products.

The only parts that touch the gumpaste are the mat and the blade. Linda explains this AND how to make the markers use food coloring in the video I bought from her.

No Fondant and Gumpaste are two different things.

From what I have been told they will all fit each other.

Do you ladies watch the ultimate cake off show on TLC? They used the cake cricut a couple of times. I wish they would have showed more of it, they just grazed over the part with the cricut.
