I am taking pictures and uploading them to photobucket this weekend. I have all the cards in a safe spot, found the camera two days ago and put it with them. Now I just have to get a few minutes peace to take the pictures and upload them.

Then it should be easy to do a photo show to post here and on my site.

But alas the 4 year old is screaming (cleaning his room is too hard) and the 11 year old needs help with math and the dryer just buzzed signaling I must get up from here...

I smiled real wide when reading your post. angel Took me back to when I was home with my kids; it was a wonderful, crazy time. Then I blinked and they somehow have now reached their 20's. I have no clue how that happened! Enjoy!

Just wanted to give an update on the Cards Project. Our POC came home early form Iraq! YAY for him! But needless to say the cards did not make it to him before he came home. NOT TO WORRY I have them and we have a NEW plan. DD is now working on her SILVER AWARD and guess what, we will be expanding the Cards of Caring to include a web site. We are contacting supply officers on board ships, looking for new contacts in the desert and DH reports to a ship in July so if all else fails I will send them with him!

In the mean time though you can visit my Photo Bucket Account to see all the amazing cards people sent in to us.

Can't view your pictures...photobucket wants your password. Even when I try to find your name via Search....it asks for your password. Is your album private?

Memories!!! Sounds like my house when all the kids were small. I found that when it came to cleaning their rooms, I told them they had to pick up five items in one corner of the room and put them away. Then I worked that system around the room. Five items is less daunting than a whole room. That system worked in other parts of the house also. Small tasks for small hands and kids.

I agree too, as I said before DH was shocked that "strangers would do hat" but he doesn't know crafters like I do!

Even though we have hit a snag this will be AWESOME when we get it up and running and never fear your FABULOUS cards will not go to waste!

Thank you thank you thank you all.

Anyone up for Round TWO?

Please READ the FIRST POST in this THREAD for MAJOR UPDATES!

We received over 75 designs last go round (some had multiples) and we are SO excited about taking it to the next level!

As I said in an earlier post on this thread we hit a speed bump with the way I thought we'd distribute the cards when our contact came home EARLY!

But we have a new idea!

We now have a web site in progress!

Anyone and everyone who has an extra handmade card or two laying around from ANY occasion or if you would like to make "fresh" ones for us PLEASE e-mail me!

So if you would like to get in it's NOT TOO LATE!
