Project Instructions

  • 1
Download and print out the project templates, use them to trace and then cut the shapes out, and set aside. Cut the bottom of the foam egg so it’'s flat.
  • 2
Glue the end of the jute to the bottom edge of the foam egg and begin wrapping around the foam egg. Continue to the top, gluing the jute down as needed. When covered, glue the wings to the sides of the owl.
  • 3
Cut corrugated paper into ten ¾”" strips. Roll the paper into 2”" wide medallions for each eye, glue to hold, and set aside.
  • 4
Fold the head piece in half, width-wise, and glue the medallion eyes onto it. Cut off the shank from the two solid Black eyes with the wire cutters and glue them to eyes. Glue the crown piece on top of the eyes. Hot glue the finished headpiece to the owl.
  • 5
Cut out the front and back heart shapes for the frame. Glue together around the edge leaving the top open. When dry, insert photo and slide heart under eyerolls. Glue to secure.
