Ice Cream Cone Felt Board

We're all screaming for this project that's anything but vanilla! With all the different colors of felt available at A.C. Moore, you can make chocolate ice cream, strawberry ice cream, sprinkles, cherries -- any flavors or toppings you want -- and then build your sundae! Best of all, this version of the frozen dessert won't cause brain freezes or melt -- even on the hottest of summer days!

Project Instructions

  • 1
Make Ice Cream & Toppings: Download, print and follow instructions on template. Use the Yellow paint marker to make lines on the cones. Make sprinkles on the whipped cream and chocolate chips on some of the ice cream shapes using the dimensional fabric paints. Let paints dry thoroughly.

Make Felt Board: Paint the wood tray Cadmium Yellow and let it dry. Glue felt to the bottom of the tray. (Note: One piece of 9 inch x 12 inch felt is not enough to cover the bottom of most of our trays, so if needed, measure and cut a small piece to fill in the space. Glue this extra piece in place.)
